These Rkansas people are actually the funniest people on the rant. I think they actually believe, since they are finally going to 1 Sugar Bowl, they are an elite team. Yes, they have had LSU's number recently but seriously? 1 Sugar Bowl, no SEC championship, certainly no BCS championships but they are at the same level as an LSU, Bama or Florida? Ryan Mallet is very good. No team is scared of Ark or Petrino. Go get some hardware over the next 10 years then maybe you can come talk with the big boys....

I fully realize the history of Arkansas football. I sat through 10 agonizing years of Nutt ball. Nothing we did when Nutt was around could be considered "elite."

But it's the start of a new era. Yall will have to adjust your expectations and what you feel is a "successful sesaon." As long as Saban is at Bama, and Petrino is at Arkansas, LSU will be looking at a lot more Cotton and Outback Bowls and a lot less at BCS Bowls. You all know it.

You sir are stupid and just proved my post to a T. LSU will continue to be elite. 2 BCS championships and multiple SEC championships and top 5 recruiting classes and elite state talent and 8-10 games per year on national TV.....will do that. Congrats on you FIRST BCS bowl and re-read my post DA

Ya'll have one of the best QB's Arky will ever have, and won 10 games.

LSU has the worst QB situation they will have, and won 10 games. 10 games in the toughest division in the toughest conference, and threw 6 freaking touchdown passes.

Arky held serve, at home. You come to BR next year. LSU will be the favorite in the West next year. Book your tickets for the Outback now.

Arkansas = BCS Sugar Bowl

LSU = Lower ranked than Boise St.

Petrino, in his first 3 seasons, is 2-1 against Miles who was in his 4th, 5th, and 6th season. Petrino did that with scrubs leftover from Nutt and the young talent he has brought in. Miles took over from Nick Saban, had better talent, and has already established his team. Petrino has JUST established his team.

Go ahead and keep telling youself everything is going to be alright.

Less talent seems to be the Rkansas way if you look at recruiting rankings the past 10+ years...that includes this year. End discussion I don't like to talk to dumb people I am elite.

sorry? shouldn't you be telling yourself that?

Isn't mallet getting drafted? Who is your QB after mallet?

Isn't your head coach a flight risk?

Nevermind the fact that these have been arguably the three worst years of Miles tenure thus far in terms of winning percentage and offensive production? Just be glad that you have Petrino through next week and good luck finding a replacement.

I'm shaking. Not from fear. From laughter...have fun being such a force
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: when Petrino leaves you high and dry...and he WILL. LSU can survive without CLM. Without Petrino, Arkie's season highlights go back to moral victories over BCS bound teams.

Yeah, Mallett's gone most likely. Tyler Wilson is his backup and will do just fine (if he wins the starting job. We have 2 other QB's on campus, plus one more coming that are all very talented). He doesn't have an arm like Mallett (who does?), but he's more mobile, and more accurate on short passes. I'm hoping he also is less prone to throwing interceptions at the wrong time in hopes of making the big play like Mallett is sometimes prone to do.

I don't think Petrino leaves within the next two seasons. I think there's a good chance he will be at Arkansas for a while.

So why couldn't Miles generate offensive production or win like he was supposed to be able to in his 4th, 5th, and 6th seasons? It only took Petrino two seasons and he had Nutt's leftover's to work with at Arkansas! Miles had Saban's foundation and LSU recruiting. There's no excuse, just the simple answer that CBP > CLM.

For 10 years under Nutt, we never developed a QB or passing game. In 3 years under Petrino, well, you know the story.

I live in Arkansas. I understand the Razorback fans being excited about their first BCS Bowl but they are out of control. I can't post a facebook status about college football without having them swarm to it to tell me how bad we suck because we are in the Cotton. I don't ever remember using our BCS appearances as a club to beat other fans down. It's pretty crazy up here.

Nah, he's just having fun in the euphoria or his first ever BCS bowl game.

I think as long as Petrino's at Arkansas, they're going to field very good teams, teams that make BCS bowl games and very possibly SECCGs.

But to act as though they'll dominate any program that has the recruiting capabilities as LSU or the facilities we have year in and year out shows how new this poster is to the being a top five to ten team.

Solid programs...like SEC teams LSU, Bama, UF, or out of conference ones like Texas, for example...sometimes have merely good years (i.e., they lose two or three games) or outright down years (i.e., they lose 4 or so games). But the program remains solid and has the ability to bounce back and make serious runs at the BCS title due to their recruiting base/facilities/etc. Teams who have been in this position know this. They don't assume because they beat a high caliber team a few years running means that this trend will continue for ever and ever. They understand the ups and downs that top programs go through. They don't assume that because they won a game one year that put them into a higher quality bowl that they'll win the same game the next.

Once you've been #1, you don't tear down the goal posts when you beat the #1 team. Once you've won the BCSCG...and had a few off seasons...you don't act like a douchebag and crow about how you'll dominate certains teams when you make it to a second BCSCG.

It's called Having Been There Before.

Arkie, quite clearly, hasn't.

Speculation at this point. Petrino needs some titles. I'm not saying it will not happen but he hasn't done it yet.

We've watched LSU go to BCS and national titles. We were tortured for 10 years under Nutt. We've had to listen to your arrogant fanbase for years about how much better LSU is than Arkansas, how the rivalry doesn't mean anything, but then yall show up on gameday and cheer your asses off like it's the most important thing in the world and when you win you play it off like it was nothing.

The tide has shifted, and Arkansas fans are relishing this moment and aren't hestitating to say
