That's as good as an offensive staff that I've seen

Thought we were going to hire McDonald, but I guess he got a better offer, again. Bielema hired him as our WR coach when he first got to Arkansas and McDonald quit a few weeks later to take the OC job at Syracuse.
I know you guys are already familiar with Summers, but I thought he was pretty good at Arkansas. He was here when we played you guys in 2009, FWIW.

You guys must have some terrible reporters/insiders.
The plan all along at UF was to officially announce the coordinators. Then on the Monday following the bowl game (tomorrow), the position coaches would be announced officially. Shannon has been done since last week.

Yeah, for the most part, UF fans love Summers. He took an OL that has been hot garbage for 2 yrs and made them an above average unit in 1yr.

That wouldn't surprise anyone, but it hasn't been officially announced anywhere, yet. We've even had recruits contact Shannon recently and say he told them he was still at Arkansas. Regardless, we all know he's going to Florida and some of our reporters have even said as much on message boards.
Any worries that McElwain may have picked up some bad habits from Johnell "Smile" Smith?

I don't really have much to judge by at this point. He has made a great impression thus far with putting together what looks to be a solid staff on paper. No product on the field yet, so hard to really tell.

Honestly, that is a great staff. Really impressed with McElwain so far.

It's an average offensive staff at best, the only above average coaches are McDonald & Summers.
The defensive staff is solid, but Randy Shannon may be one of the most overrated recruiters in the history of CFB.
Overall this isn't a staff that's gonna win any championships at UF. Look for UGA & UT to dominate the East for the next 5 years.

Wish I had your capabilities of successfully forecasting the future, but I respectfully disagree. The staff is assembled based on not only being "like minded" thinkers, but also recruiting ties in the state of FL. The staff isn't the greatest staff ever assembled or anything like that, but it's definitely good enough on paper to win championships if they put in the work.

Both McElwain and Nuss were excellent for Alabama. That's two really good offensive minds. If they can maintain their defensive level of play their offense will be in the top half of the SEC.. and that's a winning combo.
