Looks like they turned direct to Oxford. Might divert there instead of Tupelo.

Both planes just diverted to Oxford.

Jesus Christ how many of us are actually live tracking these planes?

I just happened to open up and see them right as they diverted.

Lol now there’s a shocker…. here’s another wild guest. Plenty of MMR employees are on this board.

I used to work for them. It's pretty well known that Rutland is a huge LSU fan

Aviation fellas. Why are they going right of Jackson? I would think they would steer clear of JAX.

Yeah. He did a lot of work for my dad at McDermott who was in the same graduating class as him at LSU.

He was also a linebacker on the team I believe

Though I don't work for them anymore I still have a lot of respect for a lot of their upper management that gave me some great opportunities

NBR at certain altitudes you have to fly a certain route, an air highway , and check in with one airport ATC to another. In general, it's more detailed than that.

They are on an instrument flight plan, basically given a “clearance” on the ground which tells you what route to expect, and controllers send you along to different intersections etc. flying right over Jackson doesn’t matter when you are at 25k feet.
