While everyone is speculating and turned a normal Sunday afternoon into total chaos, my top 5 choices would be:

1. Sean Payton
2. Gregg Williams
3. Bill Parcells
4. Don Shows
5. John Madden

That list of five plus the Notre HC..I say toss in Belichik..Alleva will let him wait until after the Super Bowl..he'll show up in BR just in time for the Bash.

Somebody get a shovel..let's go dig up Bear or Lombardi.

Sorry, those would be MY top five choices and I'd pay money to make that happen. Just because we have not paid up for a premiere coach in the past does not mean we won't moving forward. I did not say we would be able to land any of MY top five. What would your top 5 look like?

how did you make a list of five possible coaches and not have the guy who will ultimately be the coach should Miles leave?

that is pretty impressive.

U see, that's the problem with all these fans wanting to get rid of miles. Who ya gonna get?! Be happy with miles, cause he is a good coach and is a class guy.

Worst list ever.

1. Pat Fitzgerald
2. Gary Patterson (Long shot)
3. Dan Mullen
4. Gus Malzahn
5. Kevin Sumlin

I would have Jack Del Rio, but I think he's way too long of a shot to make any realistic list.

Saban would be the smartest choice, and choice of 85% of LSU fans if possible. Which may have become reality if Miles to Michigan happened in 2007, when Saban still wanted his LSU job back. Today, I think that ship has sailed..he'd turn us down if asked.

You can clown my top 5 all you want but you guys are offering no better alternatives. I keep hearing names that I am not impressed with. Please post your top five that might actually pick up a phone call from LSU.

Fitzgerald also fits the successful low-AQ level profile.

Pipe dream. LSU fans need to let that one go.

That ship has sailed. He's getting older and not any better.

If we need a new coach, we need to think younger and more energetic. We need a guy that is willing to work the long hours necessary to win in the SEC.

1)Chris Peterson
2)Sumlin
3)Brian Kelly

4) Saban ( I hate him, but just meltdown mode in BAMA and the Media would be epic!)
5) Gruden ( I know, I know.... Dreaming)
