I agree, we need to find a way to keep Orgeron and Frank Wilson or we will take a huge hit in recruiting no matter what coach comes here. Imagine if a team like BAMA snatched one or both - good bye fence. I'm not so sure about Frank Wilson being the QB coach though... keep him at RB coach / recruiting coordinator.

Herman has a smoke show for a wife and one of his sons is named Maverick. He has improved a team dramatically at every stop he's made. We would roll with this guy immediately. He's a winner.

Tom Herman is indeed a great choice. I personally prefer D coaches for a couple of reasons. Other than that, of course Jimbo would be a fit. Less risky, maybe not such reward but no one knows for sure.

My dark horse "wish", i.e. haven't really seen him discussed... at least not on the boards, is Steve Addazio (HC, Boston College).

If you can not just focus on offense, system, points, or W/L record his resume is a good one. To the young one's, he sounds like he's been with crap teams. But the teams he was at were winners when he was there for the most part. He's been a OL, TE, Asst HC, now a HC, OC, TE coach. That's the most impressive to me.

can't argue with what he's done with Stave, who looked like he had multiple schlorsis at times at Wisky. Most impressive, he's done some damn good recruiting to be at Houston. Put the two together (if it would hold) in the SEC, at LSU, with his TX ties. It looks pretty good.

Keep this man on your radar screen. You may be surprised at the attention he is going to get

He's smart enough that Saban flew him in to talk to him about what weaknesses of his defense he exploited in the playoff game while he was at OSU

Herman would be a stretch for a program like LSU to make.

Only one year as a head coach at a mid major and he is on pace to improve them by a couple games.

Houston was 8-5 last year. They are 10-1 right now and will likely lose to Navy this week.

Fuente has done a much more impressive job at Memphis, which was the most godawful piece of shite team you've ever seen when he took over. They were literally worst team in FBS bad.

Both are reaches. Herman has a higher powered offense, and is a more proven recruiter. His Texas toes transfer over pretty well. Fuente is still an unknown as a big-time recruiter.
