No. Alleva got his feelings hurt. Picked up his ball and ran home. Daddy Orgeron sang him a lullaby.

Heres the proof...

What really happened.
There's been all kinds of stories and misinformation. Choosing to believe certain ones hardly counts as proof.

Am I the only one good with pulling the offer?

If it's true, you'r probably one of few.

There was no good reason to do it. If we wait it out and lose out, we're in the same boat as now, so there was no reason to make a rushed decision.

frick off. You go to other boards and trash LSU. If you're a day over 12, I pity you.

You are an idiot...

A) He lost all leverage by LSU publicly pulling their offer.

B) He wanted to go to Texas, meaning LSU would have been forced to pay a premium, that premium is unknown. Could be an additional 1 million (2 million?)

Like I said. Alleva took his fricking ball and went home. The Gridiron story makes the most sense based on common sense, what we already know about the players involved and Alleva and the totality of the other information that came out.

This is certainly true but based on common sense, which story "fits" the best and what we already know about the people involved, the Gridiron story makes the most sense.

In a world of misinformation and unreliable sources you have to rely on common sense and read between the lines. This story totally sounds like something Alleva would do based on what we know about Alleva. He even said himself that he wouldnt get into a bidding war. You dont show your hand like that and at the very least, as parting shot, you drive up the price on your competition by staying in the bidding war and bidding them to the poor house.

Will be another Taxas Failure. Texas is the problem, not coaching.

And the one who really wins is the guy who just said your school isn't good enough.

It hurts him all the way to the bank while he deposits his extra 'million to 2 million...

Are you free for poker next Saturday?

What are you talking about? Im talking about driving the price up on University of Texas for Tom Herman. If you know you arent going to win at least go back and forth until the price is really high and then bow out. You werent going to get him anyway but at least you get Texas to overpay for him. Now Herman has no other big suitors and Texas is going to be able to negotiate an even lower price for him. Or he stays at Houston @ 3.5M or whatever hes getting there.

Dont forget, the more UTw pays for Herman the less they have to pay for coordinators and other coaches to surround Herman with like one, David Christopher Aranda.
