To be fair most coaches will take recommendations from other coaches they trust. That's not really a big deal. It's more concerning that O has to lean on them so much in order to make the right hire.

All of this is far from a shite show, and while I may not be ecstatic about the hire I will give him a chance before deeming him a failure or shitty hire.

I'm no sunshine pumper but God damn the negative hyperbole on here some times is too much. We have top recruiting classes, won a championship in 2019 with arguably one of the best college teams to ever play together, and many of our coaches turn in to HCs or go to the NFL. LSU is fine with or without O.

I just get tired of people saying well O got lucky in 2019 that's all. I am sure some luck/timing/chance was involved, but the fact none of you people who adamantly hate O can admit he assembled that team and coaching staff because you just hate him so much for whatever blows my mind.

Maybe this hire is the end of O. In that case hooray you all get what you wanted, but acting like it's the end of program or the program is imploding because of who is hired as DC is just dumb.
