Timeline may or may not be months… could be a couple weeks or less actually

We found out on Nov 29 after ND was 11-1 and still had a chance for the natty race, that BK was taking the LSU job. Regular season was over but so much left standings wise.
ND on Dec 5 (2 weeks after BK left) found out they didnt make the top 4 needed to continue for the CFB championship, but BK was long gone.
Ole Miss’ remaining schedule includes USCe (Who lost a heartbreak to Bama last week), The Citadel, Gators, then Miss State. Ole Miss sitting pretty with 1 loss and now playoff landscapes include 12 teams, but OM drops 1 game and we could know pretty quickly what Lane does.

I don’t think so. If old miss arrives at Mississippi State at 10 & 1 and loses to its rival, falling to 10 & 2, I suspect old miss likely still makes the playoff.
