Time to wake up !!!!!

Why is it that we give credit to coaches for doing well with the talent they have ( like DC ) but we don't look at recruiting the same way?

There he is back on that stage, getting ready to announce his choice, It will be LSU, USC, or Ole Miss.
And the hat is ........ USC!
Wake up, it's over, and McKnight won't play for LSU!
Many blame Coach Ed Orgeron of Ole Miss for directing USC to Joe - Joe to USC. Hatred has bloomed on the Bayou over a lost recruit. I have to admit Joe's seemed a traiterous move - abandoning his home state for the most despised rival not in the SEC. But blind hatred - like blind confidence, will bring you down.

It's time to wake up and get over it. There is a lesson to be learned.

Why was Ole Miss ( a moped ) in the race with LSU and USC for the nations top recruit?
Was it their fan-base of 30,000? Perhaps it was that huge Junior-High stadium?
It was "Coach O" - the kids love him.
And it didn't only happen with Joe McKnight.

Incase you missed it, if that was the Indy 500 with Coach O in 3rd on a moped - there were many more!
Woods, Dorsey, and Murphy were also wooed by the Coach O charm. Ed took second and third many times with that rusty little moped across the river. and I'm sure Rivals and Scout still show him to be "in it" for the prize vrs. the county's elites.

I don't know about Coach O's ability-or-inability to coach a defense, but his recruiting ability is undeniable.
Unless of course you don't watch recruiting news, AND you're still living the nightmare.
