this is terrible reasoning to give BG the job
So what is a good reason? He's showed improvement at his last job and it was with a top notch program.

I think you're wrong, Gonzo was hired to be the OC therefore it was the plan, not the fall back plan
LSU doesn't need to take a risk w/ this hire; too much talent being wasted as is. LSU should be able to hire a proven innovative OC that can coach up the quarterback, not be in the position of taking a flier on a guy that's never done it before.

Lesjulia, while I sincerely hope Fletcher is right (for once) about this, I wouldn't go out on a limb and sing his praises as far as being credible and having sources inside the LSU program. I have never thought he had much more knowledge about any situation than the average diehard fan. If you listen to him at all, especially when he is in conversation with callers to his radio show, he basically agrees with whatever they say, even if he agreed with the previous caller who had a different take on the same topic. I believe he espouses whatever the current conventional wisdom is about any given situation.
That being said, I hope he's right about Crowton.

I'm not elated I'm just don't propose to teach everyone in the room something unlike you.
Maybe JA can give you call since it's so obvious. Did you apply for the AD job when it was open?

Crowton? I'm confused.
I thought Miles was going to DC to be Shannahan's OL coach, Crowton was going to Memphis, Chavis is going to UGA after all and Saban and his current OC are coming back.
Better call the FOC and see what Lois is doing....

Had we had a decent OC this year, there is a great chance I would be at the Rose Bowl this morning tailgating with other Tiger alums and fans.
Come on dude....We lost 4 games this year, could have lost 6!
NO WAY LSU makes the National Championship game this year, even with a "Decent" OC, as long as the same "Lost and confused" QB is on the field playing behind that OL...........

The more I read this, the more it sounds like a hoax.
At least the meltdown here will be fun.

Ya..but alot of these guys are on everybody's possible Head Coach to hire list. Who is on this list of proven innovative OCs that are available and not being considered for HC positions? Just curious.

It only makes sense horndog. Kind of thinking why would Billy Gonzales would want to make a lateral move. Didnt know if that was Miles ultimated decision but even if his hand was forced certainly makes since that Billy Gonzales was brought in to be Offensive coordinator.
