Well i was told the TAF has raised over 15 million to buy out CLM so he as coach has to know this is brewing and a possibility! CLM might compromising with the thought of a buyout and changing the offensive mentality or CLM migh be packing his bags himself!

How do you know they have nothng to lose?
What does a high ranking TAF member have to lose if he/she pushes for this dismissal and it does not work out?
Chicken, do you think it is appropriate for non athletic department or non-university employees to be calling the shots for the athletic department?

I'm not happy about the last two seasons, but shite like this makes me wonder how long some people here have actually been watching college football.

Just thought I'd point out something nobody else has mentioned from something dmitch said...he said something along the lines of wishing what he heard wasn't true...

Where do you really think most of the money is coming from to pay these big salaries . The same as Alabama, Be Glad that you got some people with the balls to do what needs to be done, Be very glad because if you have a boss that doesnt want to make a change for betterment then the higher ups need to .

Well i was told 15 mil but all i know is that TAF is having a buyout drive be it 15 dollars or 15 million the TAF is asking for buyout donations
Posted on 1/7/10 at 1:27 pm to windhammontanatigers
Crowton is not the issue. IMO.
Posted on 1/7/10 at 1:27 pm to windhammontanatigers
windhammontanatigers - so you are saying that TAF is a highup over the head football coach, AD, university president, chancellor, board of supervisors? If these individuals are not requiring a change, why should TAF or anyone else be allowed to come in and force a change?
Posted on 1/7/10 at 1:29 pm to LC412000
Are we getting ready to be pegged as we were in that article about Broadhead and LSU - Crazy Days at LSU, but this time the story is not about the AD, but a booster club?

Quit teasing us Dmitch....spill the beans!
wish i could and what we hear could not be true as well.
I took this as he wished he could tell us, and that he was hesitant b/c the info he has could be wrong and he didn't want to spread inaccurate / unreliable info. Not that he didn't like what he had heard.
Posted on 1/7/10 at 1:33 pm to LC412000
How's this: TAF asks for a sit down with Alleva to tell him they are hearing from numerous members that donations will drastically decline if GC is retained. No demands made. Just letting him know the facts.
Does this mean that TAF is interfering in the athletic department?

Nobody has raised 15 million dollars.
Stop and think about all of this. Any effort to raise $15 would be met with the following:
1. Such incredulity that people would want to get rid of a coach with Miles' record that there would be huge debate. Even on this site the vote is 55% in his favor.
2. So much publicity that this would be common knowledge.
3. To raise this much money would require 500 people putting up $30,000 each.
Wake up and get real. Miles is staying and he may or may not get rid of Crowton next year. Believe what you want, but enjoy the game tonight and wake up tomorrow to a better day.

TAF cannot afford for this program not to be successful. They'll do what they have to do.
