His name is being mentioned as being added to new HC Mike Riley's staff...

Would be a fantastic assistant hire. He has good ties in TX and Nebraska badly needs to get back to recruiting this area IMO

I want Orgeron too, but it looks doubtful. He interviewed for the UNLV HC job yesterday. I also don't think he's the type of guy Eichorst is looking for. I'm thinking Riley will bring in a bunch of guys we've never heard of.

Have fun with the NCAA sniffing up your asses for the next 10 years then.

How we didn't get investigated during his tenure is nothing short of a miracle.

My coaching dream team includes Brewster, Ed O, and Hudspeth.

The grunting, the massive chest bumps, the panties dropping. It would be aMAZing.

They get plenty of guys from TX... Tommy Armstrong, Adam Taylor, the Brown trio, Rex Burkhead, Aaron Graham, Aaron Taylor, Broderick Thomas, etc. etc. etc.

in the osbourne era texas was never more than one of many states they cherrypicked. Its never been a consistent territory

When they were in the Big 12 they got plenty of players from TX like most of the north schools. With no home recruiting base it's important they get someone on staff like Brewster

Their recruiting base is Nebraska/Kansas/Miossouri. Even under Solich in the Big 12 Texas was never an important recruiting territory.

Nebraska has had more players from Texas than any other state, except Nebraska, every year for at least the last five years. Looks like Florida and Louisiana have been increasing in importance. So Brewster would seem to make a lot of sense from Cornhusker perspective.

I am talking about in the Osbourne/Solich era. Texas was just one of many states they cherrypicked. Nebraska/Missouri/Kansas was their base. Then came the rest of the midwest/midlands, then California/Kansas JUCOs

But a horrible head coach. He was clueless as a coach and set us back for years. He was nothing but a big blowhard. Thank heavens we hired Jerry Kill.
