If you want to be concerned about something, be concerned about his defenses. They've been pretty bad.

If I had to take one of the Houston guys, I would choose Briles, since he's the one who built it for Sumlin to succeed.
I liken Sumlin to Caldwell in Indy. Pretty lame duck coach in a good situation.

i think sumlin is solid at worst. he did really well in 2009 year with keenum. you can't just replace a great QB at a school like Houston. BSU would have lost some games this year had moore gotten hurt.
i definitely prefer briles. he has the pattern of the guys who are winning. built/won at UH. built/won at baylor.
plus, briles obviously has a lot of recruiting ties to TX, esp houston

Correct. Briles took Houston to 4 bowl games in the 5 years he was at Houston before he left for Baylor. Briles is the one that rebuilt Houston, and Sumlin has maintained the success. This year was an abberation.
