There is more to defense than statistics

Like it's been said...stats lie.
Don't base your opinion on a DC solely on stats. Watch his defense play a few times and find out what kind of/how much talent he has to work with and what teams they play.

True. You also need to look at the offense on the team. Do they tend to score quick, a la UF? If they do it forces the other offense to pass and skews the run/pass stats. If the offense sucks, a la LSU in the early 90s, it might leave the defense on the field too long and they will have worse stats in the second half than the first.
