To everyone saying they are going to wait and see how O does before they pass judgement...

This has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not O is successful or terrible.

O doing well in the future does not justify anything that Alleva did or didn't do. The fact remains that he totally botched his one and only job and hired a candidate who, on paper, shouldn't even have been in the conversation for a head coaching position. This has nothing to do with O as a person or a coach. It has everything to do with Alleva.

So unless you want this same self-righteous a-hole picking anymore head coaches at LSU I suggest you stop telling us to wait and see and start raising hell with us. We will have plenty of time to get behind O before the season starts.

Agree completely. I want O to succeed so much!!! Even so, that prick of an AD needs to go. I graduated in engineering from LSU and am a proud to be an alumni. Contribute money every year. However, I will give no more money to LSU athletics until Alleva is gone. I will continue to contribute to academics...... but no money to anything with Alleva at the helm.

Get that worthless excuse for an AD out of Baton Rouge.

what am I supposed to do, march on the AD's office? I have a job and my own problems.

if O doesn't do well the attendance will drop even further than it did towards the end of Miles and that will get it taken care of.

What a dumbass - it has everything to do with O's success. If he wins, Alleva made the right choice, PERIOD!

Go find your safe space. Alleva didn't hire your guy, so you're throwing a hissy fit.

You are a mental midget

It doesn't have anything to do with the results. We pick a head coach every 5-10 years. It's such a small sample size the results shouldn't matter. The process of hiring a coach has to use reason and logic, not childish emotions. There is some room for gut feelings but you can't just hire the janitor and say you have a gut feeling he will be a great leader. Alleva should be fired immediately simply based on the process he used

We can't afford to let him pick another coach

Let me get this straight, genius. If O gets LSU to the playoffs 4 years straight, Alleva still made the wrong choice?

Other than people not renewing their season tickets, nothing you do, especially on a damn message board, is going to make even the tiniest bit of difference. So, be an Internet Badass and rage away on here if it makes you feel better. Just realize that you getting to vent is the fullest extent of what you will accomplish.

Some of us have better things to do with our time.

Yea dumbass. It means he got lucky. Unless he comes out and gives us some other logical reason why he picked orgeron other than him being our 3rd best option and "he really wanted the job". I havent heard alleva state anything else. Because everything on paper is garbage.

Alleva said he wanted an offensive minded coach who was successful as a head coach. So he didnt even meet his own criteria. Everything about his logic is flawed. He needs to explain himself or GTFO.

If you wait to see how O turns out he will be making our next decision as well. But i wouldnt expect you to have that type of foresight

Are you self aware enough to see the irony of your statements? You're mad that Joe didn't give you an explanation, and you're letting your emotions take over. Which is the very thing you accused Joe of.

You're either a lib snowflake or a teenager, or both.

Oh, he explained himself. And based on everything he said, he sould be fired.

Let me clarify, if he wants to keep his job he should explain himself better.

So no, there is no irony in my post. There is no emotion, just facts.

Look, Im obviously not going to change your mind. This post is for those who are on the fence about alleva.

They should realize that their opinion of Alleva shouldn't hinge on the success or failure of Orgeron. You should judge Alleva on the planning and execution of the plan to hire a coach. Especially since O wasn't his first choice.

If he hired O and said we didnt even consider anyone else because of X,Y,and Z attributes of Oregron, fine. Then yea lets wait it out. But he hired O because in his own words "it was the best we could do". It was the best he could do because he never did his job in the first place and thats why he should be fired.

Actually, I thought Alleva said he gave a list earlier of what he was looking for in a coach, and O was the only candidate that met them all. So-- he did exactly what you claim was needed for you to be fine.
