And if Saban is AD - all the reports say Woodward was in the OPS building more than Kelly…Saban could also “help”

The problem with it is he would have to deal with all sports and not just football. I could see him being some apointed position over football, but don't think he wants to do with other sports.

Ole Houston Nutt, Arky teams were tough for a while, there. the hawgs didn't have the talent of LSU but they played them tough as hell. Nutt was tough at Ole miss too. Nutt was a pretty good coach, IMO.

Lol at thinking Saban would come out of retirement to join this shitshow in any capacity

Especially in the role of Athletic Director, which would pay him about $10million/ year less than the football Head Coach.

At ESPN, he’s probably making close to what LSU was paying Woodward as AD. He also has ownership in multiple car dealerships and other business ventures and VRBO/ Aflac/ Home Depot sponsorships.

He would take the Head Coaching job before AD. He’s going to work the same amount of hours in either of those positions because that’s his DNA.

It’s up then. Miles’s official state salary was 300K.

As much as I would love Saban as AD, I can’t see him stepping into that role in today’s college sports environment. He hated dealing with NIL, transfer portal, etc. If he were the AD he would have to oversee that for every program on campus. Of course he could hire people to help do that, but he would still have to have his hands in the mix. I can’t imagine him saying yes to that.

I think it is more likely than he steps back into coaching somewhere. With one team, you can have a GM who handles the nuts and bolts of NIL, transfers, etc and the. You get to be the closer and focus most of your attention on coaching football and team and player development.

Just my thought.
