Everyone talking about potential candidates…. I think a deal “in principle “ is done. Otherwise, what is the point of the timing and having him finish the year?

Who wants to bet Jimbo tanks it in the rest of the year.

It makes all the sense in the world. This is actually the best way to get this process in full swing while keeping some semblance of stability around this years team. This is the best possible way to handle this IMO.

You think someone is dumb enough to agree "in principle" to a deal while still coaching a team for another 2+ months? As if that won't get out?

Maybe because firing him right now wouldn't do much good? Who do they name interim head coach if they fire him? Does firing him right now change the outlook on any of the remaining games?

If a deal is done then it's either Napier or Tucker.

I’m hearing a deal is done with Terry Bowden, but Rich Rod will succeed him as ULM HC
