The coaching "search" is a complete sham *Updated*

Alleva's "plan"
1) Throw money at Jimbo. Hope he comes.
2) If he doesn't, see if Orgeron can not lose more than one game. If he does, begin to look into this Herman fella.
3) Oh shite, Orgeron lost to FLA, throw money at Herman.
4) Hope Texas doesn't take him.
5) ???

ETA: Oh shite, Herman isn't coming either. I guess we have to take O. There must be NO other options out there in the coaching universe....

this is actually exactly what happened. we had 2 months and vomited all over ourselves.

They made their pitch to the best two available and apparently it didn't work. So now you have choice of a) O who has done okay better than what your previous coach was, and who we know can recruit in the SEC. b) Fedora or anyone of a 1/2 dozen other that have no ties to the SEC and are complete risks either way. Tough choice they have obviously decided to got with A.

At least make some calls, gauge interest and set up some interviews.
