I've learned to trust most writers associated with 247sports. Shannon Terry runs a tight ship with that company and leads the industry (and has for quite some time) with this type of stuff for a reason.
No reason to believe those quotes are fabricated from the recruit, and they seem to be quoted from a text message.
Usually with stuff like this - a writer for one site will be in constant contact with writers for other sites and they'll pass information back and forth as requested.
