ESPN just showed it and I must say even though he did not say anything about Michigan I really believe now he will stay and not talk to Michigan. I loved what he said actually.

Why didn't he say "I'm not going to Michigan"???????????
Why do people continue to read into his words what they want to hear.

He said, "I'm not interested in talking to anyone else."
He's the head coach, he'll be the head coach and he isn't interested in talking to anyone else... what else did you want him to say?

Latest scroll on ESPN saying Skip has told "multiple" media outlets that Miles is staying. Says Miles has agreed to contract but not signed it.

You dumb frick! Blame UM for leaking info and eing disrespectful, he was trying to wait till next week and he deserves to at least have listen. He was going to get a raise anyway
I have tried to tell ya'll he was staying
Blame UM?? Why would I blame them, they are publically looking for a head coach, and Les was #1 on everyones board to be that coach, it wasnt up to Michigan to squash or confirm shite, it was Miles's job to do that. You are right, he was going to get more money, so why was he holding out on saying he was staying? What was to gain? more money? Cant think of another reason he would wait til 2 hours before game to make an announcement. Did you see the way Stoops squashed rumors? He said, not interested, not going anywhere, PERIOD! Les never said that and actually still never has. He is to blame for this craziness and for holding the fans, players, and everyone else hostage waiting for him to decide OUR FUTURE as a university. We should be above this shite at this point. Time for Bertman and Les to go if you ask me, which they should have!

Maybe Michigan just got the message that "I'm still at LSU and you can take that $2.75 mil contract and shove it. Come back to me with a $3.5 mil contract and we'll talk."

ATLANTA -- LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe has reached an agreement with Les Miles on an amendment to his contract that will secure Miles’ position as head football coach of the Tigers.
Miles authorized his representative, George Bass, to negotiate the terms of the contract with LSU. Terms and conditions of the contract have been agreed upon and will be presented at the next meeting of the LSU Board of Supervisors on December 6.
Miles will not entertain any offer from the University of Michigan to become the Wolverines head coach or from any other institution. The University of Michigan on Wednesday requested permission to discuss its open head football coaching position with Miles

I love how ESPN is trying to say that Miles didn't come out and say that he's not going to Michigan.
Nice try, guys. In the end, Miles isn't going to Michigan.

If LSU coach Les Miles’ words this week sound a little familiar, there’s a reason. We’ve heard this before:
Miles in December 2004, after he received a contract extension at Oklahoma State: “When I say I'm really happy here, I really am. I don't want to be looked at as (being) in a part-time spot. You got me? I just want you to know – this is a place I want to be. I don't want to talk about anything else, just to let you know.”
A week later, he left for LSU.
Miles on Monday, when quizzed about his possible interest in the Michigan job that just opened: “The key is I’m completely focused on this place and this team. I want to stay just where I’m at. I don’t want to think about it. I don’t want to envision it.”
When Miles left OSU a few years ago, there was a lot of resentment. Some people were mad that he would leave at all. In their eyes, he should have stayed in orange and black for his career. But others were mad because they felt betrayed. Miles said one thing and then did another.
Look, I don’t expect Miles – or any coach – to come out and say: Man, I would love to have the Michigan job. This whole deal is really complicated. I have to coach LSU and try to win a national title, but I’ve always loved the idea of coaching at Michigan. I sure hope that doesn’t distract me or screw up preparations for the rest of the SEC season.
It’s a tough spot to be sure. Miles called the OSU situation “unfair” for everyone involved. And maybe it is. The media is going to ask the question, and the coach feels compelled to respond in some fashion.
But it’s wise to be careful with those responses. Sometimes, it’s better to just say: I’m coach at LSU, and we’re preparing for Arkansas. If anyone wants to talk about Arkansas, let’s talk. I’m not talking about anything else.
Then, he’s covered. He doesn’t have to say one thing one day and then a week later say something else.
Obviously, Miles will stick around LSU for more than a week. But he’s never made secret his love of Michigan, his alma mater. And if he leaves, maybe he’ll do a better job for LSU in his final game than he did for OSU: a 33-7 blowout loss in the Alamo Bowl to Ohio State.
It was an awful performance. Then he was gone.
Am I the only one who felt this way after reading Miles' comments Monday?
Let me know what you think.

Very very interesting to take a look back. Momma always said, the past is the best predictor of the future. Not saying he's going, but there is a history of this.

Shiittttt, I promise if they would have asked me, I would have run a blitz on 4th and 10, and I would have run off Bertman long ago, and wouldnt hire another mid-major coach who doesnt know how to pronounce the 50 states.
Based on that, they should ask me!

Is there a link out there to this. Sorry if it's been posted before but I just got back in from X-mas shopping, my baby is crying, the wife is pissed at me for getting on the message board, and I MISSED THE DAMN PRESS CONFERENCE.
In short, I don't have time to search for it. Has it been posted or do you know where I can find a link to it?
Thanks
Never mind - just saw it on ESPN
