Would you take it? They'd be bringing their current DC with them.

Orlando seems a little better than Mr 63 to Louisville. And the dude has like the squarest head I've ever seen. His brain must be HUGE!

For comparison

Charles Kelly (FSU)

Todd Orlando (UH)

Wouldn't be thrilled, but to land either coach, especially Herman, it would probably be better than CEO with Aranda

depends on what the alternative is for the HC position. If it's O, i'll still roll with Jimbo/Herman.

HC is the most important person in the football ops building, thats where you start.

and i LOVE Aranda, but Saban, Meyer, Petersen, Harbaugh, etc have all done well with multiple coordinators.

Why would you swap Aranda for Herman? Herman is likely going to make a play for Aranda as his DC at his next job. It's a dunk if it is LSU. It's a strong possibility that Aranda goes to Texas with Herman if he goes there.

It's an either or scenario. Like if you could either sleep with your Mom or your sister for the rest of your life which would you pick?

id keep Aranda, no question.

theres a long list of great OCs and a very short list of great DCs. if LSU prevents a TD in the next 2 games we'd have the fewest TDs allowed in the NCAA this century.

right now we're at 11 TDs in 10 games. thats 1.1 per game. if we stop the next two it will be 0.91 per game, our lowest number since 2000.

2016: 11 TDs in 10 games, 1.10 per game
2015: 38 TDs in 12 games, 3.16 pg
2014: 27 TDs in 13 games, 2.07 pg
2013: 32 TDs in 13 games, 2.46 pg
2012: 29 TDs in 13 games, 2.23 pg
2011: 15 TDs in 14 games, 1.07 pg
2010: 31 TDs in 13 games, 2.38 pg
2009: 19 TDs in 13 games, 1.46 pg
2008: 39 TDs in 13 games, 3.00 pg
2007: 35 TDs in 14 games, 2.50 pg
2006: 20 TDs in 13 games, 1.53 pg
2005: 21 TDs in 13 games, 1.61 pg
2004: 25 TDs in 12 games, 2.08 pg
2003: 19 TDs in 14 games, 1.35 pg
2002: 30 TDs in 13 games, 2.30 pg
2001: 34 TDs in 12 games, 2.83 pg
2000: 26 TDs in 11 games, 2.36 pg

and that will also be the lowest in the NCAA

2016: LSU - 11 TDs in 10 games, 1.10 pg
2015: Boston College – 19 TDs in 12 games, 1.58 pg
2014: Ole Miss – 24 TDs in 13 games, 1.84 pg
2013: Louisville – 18 TDs in 13 games, 1.38 pg
2012: Notre Dame – 16 TDs in 13 games, 1.23 pg
2011: bama – 12 TDs in 13 games, 0.92 pg
2010: West Virginia – 17 TDs in 13 games, 1.30 pg
2009: Nebraska – 16 in 14 games, 1.14 pg
2008: USC – 14 TDs in 13 games, 1.07 pg
2007: Ohio State – 20 TDs in 13 games, 1.53 pg
2006: VTech – 14 TDs in 13 games, 1.07 pg
2005: bama – 15 TDs in 12 games, 1.25 pg
2004: VTech – 18 TDs in 13 games, 1.38 pg
2003: LSU – 19 TDs in 14 games, 1.35 pg
2002: Ohio State – 19 TDs in 14 games, 1.35 pg
2001: Miami – 14 TDs in 11 games, 1.27 pg
2000: TCU – 13 TDs in 11 games, 1.18 pg
