"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?"

Romeo Crennel
quote:

Browns owner Randy Lerner said he will wait until the end of the season to decide the fate of his beleaguered head coach, Romeo Crennel. Lerner's decision to wait until January means Crennel is safe beyond Sunday when the Browns host the Colts.

Football Rumor Mill answered my question. NMU is looking at the OSU Special Teams coach for their HC. Booster flew in LSU grad who is ST coach.

Need to consider HC for DC. Though being considered for another top position, might consider us if price is right. Brings intelligence, ability to recruit internationally, and an intimidation factor that makes many men shake in their shoes.

Sincerely,
Bill Clinton

Is this a joke? He's at A&M and they want him out; this is just laughable...

Ron English? Are you serious? Did you watch Michigan the last few years? How many times did they give up 30 or 40 plus points? To teams like Ohio State who couldn't score more than a couple of TDs against SEC teams. Please.

How about the young up-and-coming Justin Wilcox (DC at Boise St.)?

His defense was 2nd nationally in scoring defense and 10th in total defense.

He's faced some challenging offenses this season (Oregon 7th in points/game and 8th in yds/game; Nevada 14th in points/game and 5th in yds/game; Southern Miss 20th in yds/game).

Boise is undefeated this season and 2-0 against ranked opponents.

Let's take a chance on this guy.

1st choice, Narduzzi.

2nd choice, Dunbar.

No former head coaches need apply.

I'm thinking Bud Foster. He can come to coach in the SEC and when Beamer retires he can go back as HC.

Vic Koenning would be my first choice... his defenses are always strong up front and agressive. He has had success with ever defense he has coached. We could retain Peveto for his recruiting and move him back to CB coach and have Koenning bring in David Blackwell to coach the linebackers.

Barring that Chavis would have to be my choice.. he is proven in the SEC and brings a strong recruiting presence in the east.

Oh and Bumpas is a position coach in everything but name... Patterson calls the plays on defense, designs the defense, and makes the depth chart decisions on defense.

Not a fan of Bumpas at all. Gary Patterson is the guy who runs the defense. However, that's what everyone said about Will Muschamp.

That is what I have heard as well. And I agree on the comparison with Muschamp.

That's not completely accurate. Joe DeForest played for Louisiana Lafayette (Back when it was USL), NOT LSU.

He is also not a Louisiana native, hailing from Titusville, FL.
