Stop the Melt, Have Faith

I did want Riley but have confidence in this hire. If Riley didn’t want LSU then I don’t want him.
LSU is largely recognized as the best open job in the country and a top 5 job regardless.
So let’s give it time. I may end up being wrong but I find it hard to believe Riley chose USC over LSU for any reason other than he didn’t want SEC smoke.
Still I would’ve gladly taken him but let’s save the melt until we actually know who the guy is. Have faith fellas, LSU is the best job available in the country and few people have ability to tell us no especially with the money we’re tossing around
There’s was never official Riley smoke, only “sauces”. I’m sure we broached with LR’ agent but talk of an offer on the table may be nothing more than speculation

I really wanted him too. But really want I want is anyone competent lol. Preferably an offensive coordinator type HC. So we don't have to go through again what we had to the last two years. Just my preference tho.

Yes, a competent hire is most important.
LSU is like a formula 1 race car engine, it always runs well but a tweak here or there can lead you to the pinnacle of college football or to what we’ve seen the last few seasons.
We need a guy that will ensure LSU is always competing for conference titles and can make those one or two tweaks whether it be the right staff or identifying and developing QBs that’ll take us over the top.
And as always someone that will recruit nationally because we’ll always recruit well here and in surrounding states.
Guys that fit this criteria are still out there so hold strong Fellas
