Stoops has a Florida offer and is on he clock.

People from Florida believe Stoops is the frontrunner.
It is believed that this has been planned for a while now. Urban came back last year only because Foley begged him. They planned a succession strategy.
Stoops owes Foley because every time he was brought up for the Florida job (3 times) he got a significant raise
Stoops has been at OU long enough..and especially with the conference uncertainties and issues surrounding the Big 12, it may be time to move on for another challenge

That is what I have heard from someone I trust to have good info. He got cold feet over no ability to bring in JUCO's and ND's tough stance on student discipline issues.
But he was strongly considering a change of scenery and the chance to resurrect ND's program.

If/when the Big 12 implodes, OU and TAMU will be the firsts to receive invitations to the SEC.

Better Conference same record has won a NC in recent years and didn't Les give Old Bob fits at Okie State with half the talent-Just sayin
