That's what I want to know. Can he get to the QB? That's something we were lacking a little bit the last couple of years.

I want to have an attacking and aggressive defense. That's something I have missed since Pellini, Boom, and the Honey Badger left.

Yes, he'll bring OLB blitzes which helps negate the read option. His pressure is from the edges.

Not making me feel better.

Can someone lie to me and tell me he is a mastermind?

This.

But we will be talented! The guy is a failure at DC. I am not going to forget this just because we added Ed Orgeron to coach the DL and recruit.

He relies on the LBs to apply pressure more than Chavis. Chavis relied mostly on DLine.

Is he more of a 3-4 guy then?

How about Orgeron? Can he put together some good line stunts? Surely these guys can be somewhat disruptive.

I'll be ok if we have a fun defense to watch.

I'll suffer through some big plays if we can get some good pressure and sacks.

Is this coming from his time at Clemson, his one year as DC under Saban at Alabama, or his other time coaching linebackers to do what his DC (at Alabama his head coach) wants and calls?

my definition is a little different; we have been woefully lacking at QB pressuring the last 3 years or so.

it's not just sacking the QB, it is rushing him.

I hear ya. It always seemed that over the last couple of years we would get close to "pressuring" the QB but would always be a second behind and they would get the pass off.
