Specifics on Fuente's recruiting advantages

For people who are interested.
He recruits North La., Kansas and Oklahoma. Only recruits in Texas if he knows the kid personally or if the kid in interested. So the Texas front may not be as great as we thought but the Ok/La/Kan sides are still pluses. And besides, I'm pretty sure this last season going undefeated and him getting his name out there will help him in recruiting Texas more. Anyway that's my two cents and I know I probably could have put this in one of the other eleventy billion Fuente threads but I thought it'd get over looked.

Slim pickins in Oklahoma and Kansas unfortunately.
They have four 4 star recruits combined between those 2 states this year, Louisiana has 15 (with one being a 5 star and a good shot at a 2nd).

if we hire him, he'll get more interest from the texas players. it's a cinch that one or more of his associates are recruiting texas now so fuente would go head-to-head with them. being at LSU and having recently been at TCU, i bet he can bring in some guys.

It would be interesting to hear what some kids he has recruited (both landed and not) have to say about him.

What recruits can be attributed to GC? I thought he didn't recruit well either. Any upgrade in this area from an OC would be an improvement, unless I am missing something

exactly, we don't need Fuente to help recruiting, we need him to make players Miles brings in better at offense

From the fuente thread on TCU forum

Does Fuente have any ties to LSU or anything that would cause him to leave?
It's LSU, i don't think it's a matter of "ties." They're a championship-caliber team and if LSU offers then it's not a lateral move, it's a step up. Co-OC at TCU or OC at LSU? Unless he either REALLY loves TCU or REALLY hates LSU I think he leaves if offered.

Well crap.

I agree with you on TCU's move to the Big East. Huge for that conference. Now all the Frogs need is a team plane. They're gonna log some air time.
