Bo Pelini will not get the Nebraska job. My sources say Turner Gil will get the job.

No offense darryljames30 - maybe you have a cousin or aunt banging Tom Osborne up in Nebraska. But, why would anyone believe a 21 year old with no named source on the matter. Gotta love the internet I guess.

It's just funny -- some peoples' great sources think that Gill is the guy. Some peoples' great sources think that Bo is the guy.
Ever consider that unless your source is Tom Osborne himself that they don't know what they are talking about?

I dont believe much of anything on here without a related news article, but it's fun to see where some of this goes and how adamant some guys are about their "inside" knowledge while I am sitting at work.

Huskerjock,
I'm guessing you were born sometime in the late '80s or early '90s. Just thought I'd point out that the weird reason some Nebraska fans want Turner Gill as head coach is because he, umm, was quarterback at Nebraska from '81-'83 and was an assistant at Nebraska from '89-'04. He is a good friend of Osborne because...he was the quarterback at Nebraska from '81-'83 (when Osborne was coach) and, hence, they've known each other for 20+ years AND he was an assistant under Osborne from '89 through Osborne's last year of '97, as well as an assistant under Osborne's successor, Frank Solich, and for a year under Billy C.
Personally, I think Gill would be a better candidate than Pelini, for whoever thought it is laughable. It might be lowly Buffalo, but at least Gill HAS some head coaching experience.
For those suggesting Pelini as HC and Gill as offensive coordinator, I don't think that would happen. Why would Gill give up a head coaching position at a school that is fairly enamored with him to take a respective "step down" and go back to Nebraska? Stranger things have happened, I suppose, but I don't see it happening.
Personally, I think Nebraska needs to look outside of the "family/those familiar with the program" mentality...i.e. Jim Grobe, Paul Johnson, Gus Malzahn, etc.
