3. It would be a disservice to both teams. He can't devote himself to either team 100%. During the time in question LSU needs a full time defensive coordinator, and Nebraska needs a head coach to hire assistants, coordinate recruiting, etc.

As a Nebraska fan, I won't be upset if he coaches the MNC game, because I understand the desire, but I think both teams want and need a full time coach. I think the best solution would be if LSU named an interim coordinator, and Pelini showed up for the game on the LSU sideline and acted as an on-call advisor.

they could not wait to announce this after the SEC Championship....damnit!!

No one said it was announced, which it hasn't been. There reports of his hiring are the result of "sources," which may or may not be true. Probably true, but there is a reason they were waiting to announce...

Bo as HC. Gill as OC. Have you heard this Husker fans?

That is the wish of many Nebraska fans, but no one has "heard" it from a reliable source. At this point, it is just the fantasy of some fans...

Gill may be a good coach, but i think his interview is little more than espn press bait.

Unlikely. Tom Osborne was in Turner Gill's wedding. They are close personal friends. I doubt that Osborne would do that to anyone, let alone a close personal friend.
There is confirmation of a player's meeting tomorrow, but I haven't seen anything about a press conference. Could be wrong, however...
You might get your wish:

"A source close to the situation told The World-Herald today that NU officials believe the Huskers may hire a new coach as early as Wednesday."

And hey, it seems like the popular sentiment with you guys is that Pelini sucks, etc. I guess it is a matter of perspective, because most of us are just looking at the raw statistics of how his defenses have performed in terms of total yards or points given up, as compared to our pathetic numbers....
