passing game coordination
Oh, yeah. Because that little experiment with Billy G just worked out so well.

Not shooting the messenger. You're awesome. But this whole "auxiliary" offensive coach thing is bullshite. We need an OC who doesn't need that.

OK. So, what's the problem? Interview them, vet them, if you decide Yurcich is your #1 target, make him an offer, give him a deadline to decide. He'll go to OK St and say, LSU has offered me X dollars. Will you match?" If that doesn't work out, repeat and rinse with Gilbert. And so on. The next signing date is early Feb., and we're not even looking at signing any offensive players, are we? Why the rush to have someone in place today?

Look, I'd be fine with Sark. After the Falcons lose on Sunday, hire him.

That's a narrative that won't fly with the majority of the fan base, IMO.

I realize that they think differently. But, Orgeron is hanging himself.

After reports he was leaving

yes, there were two answers to whether Aranda was staying. Yes or no. With the new OC, there are many different answers to who will be hired. Someone just saying, "yeah Aranda is staying" and being right is a lot different than someone saying "Coach A is going to be the OC next year." This isn't difficult to understand.

But if you have sources, by all means tell us who the three coaches are.

Bring in Jebb Fisch to be QB coach /passing game coordinator.

His QB at UCLA this year is about to be the first pick in the NFL draft.

I thought that O had only one extra opening and that he bringing in a special teams coach.

Me thinks it's both. Lots of both.

If Canada leaves, there would be 3 openings.

Fall back" from what? Getting rebuffed by one of two guys you approach? Why in the frick does it have to be this way? Why are these clowns so incompetent? You talk to Yurcich, Gilbert, Sark ... I am sure there are other well-qualified offensive coordinators out there who would jump at the chance at making millions to coach at LSU.

Alleva is like that friend we all had in school - a few one liners to the hot chicks at the bar, but at the end of the night, he was taking home whomever was the most willing. That's how we got Orgeron and it's how we'll end up with Ensminger.

Ensminger is a qualified candidate. But hiring him now is the real issue. If he’s “the guy”, why wasn’t he hired last year? Hiring him now is basically Orgeron and Alleva admitting that they’re more worried about public perception and politics than the end result.

Miles was notoriously stubborn about his offense, but at least he hired the person he thought was most capable of running it.

There will be 3 coaching spots open - 1 goes to special teams, 1 for safeties coach that Aranda requested them 1 spot opened on offense
FYI, already sent my e-mail to TAF, alleva, f king and the board stating if ensminger is given OC then I'm done giving $$$

Tom Clements
Greg Olson (QBs coach & coached/developed Brees @ Purdue)
Brad Childress

Which one?

Ensminger would be bad because the O.C would essentially just be Orgeron.

Still nothing on buy out talk. Money is not an issue so if a full buy out is agreed

If this is true, I don't see Canada leaving.

Money has to be an issue, otherwise Canada would have been bought out month ago.

Why keep him around. Buy him out and move on. There is no win for LSU in this situation if the relationship is as toxic as everyone claims.

Or are we worried about not having an OC and is Canada really our backup plan? If we can't replace him, we will just keep him?
