This actually makes more sense. It had to be Mack's decision in order for this to work. Saban didn't want to look like he forced MB out. If MB decides to step down...then Saban is a possibility.

They should be. Let's look at the facts:
1. Saban has no buyout in his contract and hasn't signed latest extension.
2. Saban's agent said the only school he would leave Bama for was UT and cited "special pressure" at Bama.
3. UT job just opened up.
