A team he'd leave us for...twice. This pretty much solidifies him as our coach, which i like, but does Michigan ever attempt to snag Miles again? Or do they fear of striking out 3 times?

Highly unlikely Michigan comes calling again.

My read is that Miles stayed because he got a vote of confidence and some sort of job security from Alleva.

So the only way Miles would leave LSU is if he's on the hot seat again in which case Michigan won't want him anyway.

they came to BR, but we don't know if they truly tried to work out a deal or to smoke screen their desire for hoke

...all to make it look like to their alums that they are settling for at best now a #3 guy???

What a great strategy. IF they really wanted Hoke all along, sure is a twisted way of getting to him.

persistent rumor about Miles and Gary Moeller's wife and probably other stuff that I don't know about.

What makes you think they want him over other candidates? The only thing we know is JH was #1.

This could definitely be a ploy to try and appease the fans. Most seemed really upset that the higher ups were so high on Hoke.

This shite comes from the fact Miles has been reportedly linked to the head coaching job at Michigan, has met with Michigan officials, and yet is still at LSU.

Unless his meeting with the Michigan AD was just them catching up on old times and shooting the bull, he shafted them.

I don't know if he shafted them. At least not according to this article

Translation: I don't know what the frick I'm talking about either, but at least I have the balls to make up shite that cannot be supported and call you naive.

Les Miles is Alleva's Coach K/ Joe Pa. Alleva likes consistency. And they will both most likely retire successfully from LSU.

I've already stated I don't know anything for certain. But it's pretty hard to argue that Michigan spent all this time and money but never truly wanted Miles to coach for Michigan.

I don't think he "shafted" anyone, but the answer to your question is "yes". Miles won't be asked by Michigan again.

Sounds a lot like a ranter after we lose out on a good recruit.
