Smart is a great DC and has learned a lot working with Saban, no doubt about it. But if you think that defense is anybody but Nick Saban's, you have been fooled. All those disguised blitzes, the 3-4, etc. That was all done at LSU too.

No doubt. But the playbook at LSU was 250+ pages. It's over 400 pages now. It has, like all coaches playbooks, evolved. Kirby didnt invent it, but he has studied it longer than any other coach. I think wherever he goes he will use the same formations, plays, etc.
