How the frick was LSU in the toilet? We fired Miles because we want excellence. We will hire Oregeron because he almost beat all the teams he should have beat.

Bingo! Just like the Les Miles grass eating and Mad Hatter persona. Nobody realized the media was laughing at us, not with us. All of the moron Cajuns wanting O never graduated from LSU anyway.

We all bashed Miles for being an outsider, we finally have one of our own in the position and we are so quick to run him off. Give him a chance!!
. He's already been given a chance and he showed what we will see more of: that very ugly loss to Florida- undisciplined, uninspired play, little leadership , poor decision making, no strategy, little in the way of in game adjustmentsfrom a HC that knows so little about x's and O's that he depends heavily on his coordinators - sounds very much like what we've had the last 5 years. Seriously, how does Oregon sound any different than Miles? A head coach that is just a recruiter and motivator (and sometimes not even that- Miles proved this year that he couldn't even motivate the payers anymore.).

e but if we can't get a top dog I don't see O as worse than miles
that's the whole point. We will look especially stupid to have fired a very 'successful' coach just to default hire someone just like him except with a MUCH, MUCH worse resume.

... see what I did there? Just as plausibility, and perhaps more likely, than your chicken little scenario
. Uhh, no not really. But if it happens great! But my point is what if it doesn't? That's the discussion here. LSU and its admin will look very stupid if they are forced to settle for O. They will look even more stupid if they try to say he was who they wanted all along. It will show how little they really know about hiring coaches. Even if they are not the sexy choices Fedora, Gundy, Mullen, etc. are WAY smarter choices than O.
