I've changed my opinion, Turns out he doesn't blitz much. Plays soft zone. I was wrong about him.

not sure if you're being sarcastic on that point. But you, and others, wrote as if it were a done deal that VK was hired.

The #1 reason our D was so bad because we rarely blitz our LB's when we do the blitz packages suck arse.

I would rate poor pass coverage as a greater reason our D struggled. Our four man base rush was not as effective as most thought it would be either.

Piss poor coverage can be covered up with a bad arse pass rush. With VK we're gonna get DB's 10-15 yards off the ball with 3 or 4 down line men.

Let me answer you.
Malleveto's problems are WAAAAAAY bigger than how often the blitz the LBs.
The much larger problem is the breakdowns in coverage when we don't blitz...and our failure to get to the QB when we do.

Whether it's true or not (it's true) it doesn't excuse piss poor coverage.
