i think the blood's all over bertman's hands on this one ... had he not gone cheap and second tier in replacing saban we'd be undefeated right now and one win away from playing missouri for the national title ...

Don't worry, it's true. Bertman is nothing more than a table filler at a lunch meeting.

Lombardi and a few key members of the BOS are driving this ship.

He may get a vote but he will not be making the final choice. They will just tell him to take the day off.

so you're basically saying that a better coach with more than half a brain wouldn't have beaten kentucky ?? especially after what would prove to be a very average south carolina defense hand delivered the blueprint on how to defend woodson ? the same blueprint that apparently arrived at its destination in gainesville and starkville ?

Dumbest post ever? I think so. We are probably just a couple of plays away from being undefeated right now. To say that a coaching hire made three years would set into motion a chain of events that would change this season by a couple of plays is possibly insane.

2nd tier (and i am assuming you mean someone from a small school or a coord) coaches when hired at their current job
bob stoops
jim tressel
urban meyer
rich rodriguez

get the point yet? sometimes a 2nd tier guy works out pretty well
