pegged Billy Clyde the next head basketball coach in FayetteNam? We all now how that turned out!
Guys, how irionic...Like Billy Clyde got wind that a bigger opening (ie, UK) was going to open up.
Well, let's speed up to this point of time...Tubbs shows major interest...but hears whispers that a bigger opprotunity will be to his liking.
It would suck donkey big one Hog fans if this were to happen to you guys again.
But then again, you got the redheaded Ky boy (who will soon come back home in the future if successful), Pelphery!

unlike BCG tough a lot of sources seem to be in agreement over this one. BCG did not have the complete backing up of info that this tubbs deal seems to have. I also don't think tubbs is waiting on any other jobs to open like BCG. It's AU or Arkansas, and that's it.

If Billy Clyde has anymore Gardner Webbs or have close ones with Stoney Brooks...then yes, he will be pushed out sooner then you think.
But, no, Billy Clyde is not going anywhere...I have a feeling he will get us back on top real soon...he is a no nonsense guy...straight shooter...no bullshite coach.
Tubby Smith really left the cupboard bare...and it is showing..but Billy Clyde has brought in some major studs...we are heading in the right direction.
But, I can promise you, $4 million for buyout for bluebloods for UK basketball is NOTHING!!! And I promise you...Pel would crawl on his hands and knees to coach UK...He will always be a UK boy...Parents live down the Mountain Parkway in Prestonsburg!

Come on now...you know he would be interested in the LSU job...hell, he wanted it when Saban left...I bet if it comes available before he signs in Hogville, he would listen (at least I think he would).

You are right Mike, this could all be leverage, and AU fans are saying that tomorrow is the day when we will find out for sure if it is or not. I just think there is a lot of bad blood at AU and TT wants to get away from Bobby Lowder ASAP. There is just so much more smoke with this fire than there was with BCG.
Edit: I doubt tubbs waits on us, though i'd love to have him. 6 mill buyout may be too rich for our blood.

You guys have a great one on your hands...groom him well.
He was just a little green for us at the time...he needs to get a little taste of major college ranks befor he was to be handed the keys to the expensive automobile.
I went to school with John...we are about the same age...Billy Clyde is in mid-40's...UK job ages a man like the President of US.

Uh...oh...looks like Arkansas may got played again!
I would not worry...they probably get the man who really wanted to be there.
Just did not seem right that things were breaking quickly...alot happens behind the scenes without leaks these days.
I have a feeling Sexton is leaking this to media to get his client more control and better incentative for his clients...maybe get Lowder out of Tubervilles hair.
It will work out for the Hogs down the road...just wish you guys would not get used so much!
