Signing Coach O to a short term deal

would hurt recruiting so people who say do that and lets try it out dont have a clue on how this works. We need the next LSU head coach to have a long term deal that is why we cannot screw this up on a hope and a chance that our D-Line coach is that guy who can lead us to National Title contention every season. I love coach O just as much as the next guy but we gotta have a home run hire. I hope O stays whatever the decision is

the ones suggesting that we sign any coach to a 2 year deal are the dumbest on the planet. how do you even preach stability and continuity by giving anyone 2 years.

Exactly, IMO signing Coach O would prove that we are not as special as we thought and that is not a jab at coach O.
