He's from Pennsylvania, and has said it was his dream to coach at Penn st. I think it's a ploy to get more money.

I see this as a contractual game for him and I don't blame him for it.

Put in the contract that he gets paid for 5 years after Les is fired or retired. Put in the contract that he gets $5M if he isn't made HC after Les. Put in the contract that he gets weekly rub downs from Asian sex slaves. I don't care.

I've seen it mentioned in the article and on here by a few posters that he is interested in the job. Meaning he or his family aren't that happy there.

Hope so!

If he doesn't coach LBs or DLs we'd have to add another position coach right? I'm guessing they would more than likely move out Ensminger before parting ways with Raymond.

Maybe Franklin has decided that Shoop's wife isn't pretty enough and is kicking him off the staff

At Vanderbilt, his defense finished nationally ranked at 18th, 19th and 23rd from 2011-13

Let that sink in...

Not impressed with his resume coached mostly as small schools not in this area. How does this hire help in recruiting in the South?

Yeah

Raymond is not getting ousted. No fricking way. I will riot. Dude recruits his arse off and DBs have played very well under him.

You'd have passed on Urban Meyer if you were the UF AD?

I'm with you. If Brick becomes DC, and no Ed O, that place will get a lot darker I am afraid.

Whats more important? A DC that can recruit, or one that can coach up defenses?

Is this a joke? We don't need help recruiting from a DC. Chief barely recruited. We need an X and O guy.

His resume is unreal. Had Vandy in top 25 and Penn St. #2 this year. Look before and after his tenures on every defense and see the change. He has never had LSU type talent either. Not even close. Read MastrShake's thread on the Rant.
