Seems quiet today, no juicy rumor or speculation?

I am kinda disappointed..Did the Bloggers strike or something?

After working all day, I was anxious to get home and track down the scoop...No scoop really.

bummer

When do we play Washington again?

LSU will likely finish with the best recruiting class in the country...added with some nice new hires, we shall have a ton to look forward too

I see a lot of Mallory to NM talk, but where is Peveto going?

WWLtv just said both have offers?

Excellent

The Mallory rumor is about 2 days old. Has it been confirmed confirmed. NW fans are excited it seems

Peveto has been seeking the job at Northwestern State per a friend of mine at Jenks HS in Oklahoma, coaches Gabe Lynn, worked on the U of H staff with Peveto years ago...

he texted Peveto about 2 weeks ago and Peveto said he was actively seeking that job...FWIW

Per Jim Henderson via rewound Tivo:

"The loss of one or both of LSU's co-defensive coordinators wouldn't be met with much sorrow by most of the LSU faithful as reports have them both interviewing with other programs. Doug Mallory has reportedly been offered the Def Co position at New Mexico. BDP was reportedly to interview at NW ST today. LSU's yearlong struggles on defense, once the most consistent and respected part of the Tigers for years on end, frustrated the fandom with the unique concept of having two coaches coordinating that side of the ball, a bur under the saddle of the LSU fans."

Friend of mine in N La today texted me that J Lee is transferring to SF Austin. Don't know where he heard that from but I know he checks out D Don.

That would be a major surprise and a disappointment.

From Rumormill:

LSU

Most expect LSU’s Les Miles to select a new defensive coordinator. Current co-coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto is a candidate for the head-coaching post at Northwestern State (La.), and fellow co-coordinator Doug Mallory likely would stay at LSU in some capacity. So would Peveto, if he doesn’t land the Northwestern State job. Among those thought to be possibilities are former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis, UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, former Syracuse coach Greg Robinson, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix and USC defensive coordinator Nick Holt. –

It would be a surprise because I would expect him to at least stay for his sophmore year and see if he could win the starting job. It would be a disappointment because I feel he has a lot of unrealized potential. He should get a chance to compete for the starting job in the spring.

IF JL transfers it would be tremendous loss for LSU.
If I am not mistaken we went thru 3 QBs this year. In 07 LSU played and depended on 2 QBs. LSU needs every QB we can get. SEC season is long and tough. JL will progress, he was in a very difficult situation this year. I appreciate his efforts.

If Lee leaves, we'll have Hatch, JJ, RS, and Garrett.

We'll do fine with him or without him.
