That was one major slap in the face to Miami fans and it would serve Alabama right for being so arrogant about "taking" Saban!

On a serious note, Miami kind of deserved that, they did the same thing to LSU as far as taking your coach. That was not our fault!

I would say that Bama went the extra mile to rub that in the faces of Miami fans. It was an ego trip for the Alabama boosters to say they took a pro coach from Miami and rubbing it in their faces just added that extra touch.

There is one piece of history you may not know due to the fact that you are not a BAMA fan or you may be too young to know. Miami offered coach Bryant the job at the Dolphins almost every year and he always told them no. So there is bad blood between BAMA and Miami and has been for a long time.

I understand that.

I asked you on another thread. Is Julio really driving a Luxury SUV with Oklahoma plates?

I responded with humor on the other thread but I think it is true, yes.

anyone have a link to the Scout report?

I would love to see RR go to the Big 10... it would be the kind of move that would shake up the old fogedy conference and may actually make it interesting again

That why Miami's coach sent his son to play at Bama?

Coach Bryant was dead when Shula played. Mike played for his fathers very close friend Ray Perkins.

Oh great hire..... The guy has the NC in his grasp and loses to pitt.

If We lost the NC because of a loss to Tulane everyone on here would march on Les' home and burn it to the ground.

Enjoy your futility with RR.

I think Saban is desperate to get out

Well if you are right then he will leave, he has no buyout.

It's a damned if you do and a damned if you don't situation because every coach is expected to be the second coming of Bear

No their not, the only people that say that are LSU and Auburn fans.

second coming of Bear and will not be acceptable if they are not

Not true again, Stallings was/is loved. He is held in very high regard in Tuscaloosa and by fans statewide.

quote:

Saban does not need the money at this point and has NO BUYOUT at Alabama.

Then if he is so desperate to get out as you say, he will be gone this year. I have no idea if he is "desperate to get out" or not, why do you believe this.

Oh BS. Stallings was chased out of T-town even though he gave you guys a unexpected NC and he is an awesome human being on top of that.

I was in school at Alabama while Stallings was coach there, he was loved and still is, you got any proof that he was chased out. Are you saying we chased Stallings out so we could hire Dubose? You full of it, you are just stating what you want to believe, not the truth. Stallings could still be the coach in Tuscaloosa if he wanted too. Hell the year he retired we were in the SECCG. Offer facts if you want to call BS not just your opinion punk.

No BS to you.

Stallings was pissed off by a dipshit of an AD, not the fans.

I don't know which is worse, the utter bullshite that people spread on forums, or the idiots that believe them.

Thats what I meant. He did not leave on good terms. He did not like the environment at Bama anymore.

I told my idiot girlfriend at the time she would rue the day he left.

She didn't think it was a problem since it was mighty Bama.

good hire by UM if it goes through

RR is the most over rated coach in CFB, he coaches in a weak arse conference, and still cant even get his team to a MNC, once White and Slaton are gone, back to a 7-5, 8-4 year

I agree...he showed everyone this year that he will choke in the end. He was embarassed in that last loss. I was glad he didn't come to BAMA. I was actually one of the few fans that wanted Croom. I love that guy.

He left on his terms, he could have stayed as long as he wanted.

He didn't like the AD we hired from Texas Tech of all places. He loved and still loves Bama.

It wouldn't have been a problem if we would not have hired Dumbose.
