what a dumb hire peyton calls all plays and runs the offense.
Just as dumb as hiring FLA's OC by ms Meyer runs that offense.

its not a dumb hire, at all. this isnt Notre Dame or USC, its Syracuse, and they're getting a guy who presumably learned a great deal about offense from the best in the game. Miles was a tight ends coach in Dallas when he took the OKState job wasn't he? you see position coaches get HC jobs all the time. Sparano was the OL coach in Dallas before taking over in Miami. how is this or what Miss State did any different than that?

Congrats to Saints OC Doug Marrone!
- Marrone was a three-year letterman offensive guard at Syracuse University from 1983-1985.
- Played in the NFL in 1987 and 1989.
Syracuse has a rich football history (Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Larry Csonka, Art Monk, Daryl Johnston, Keith Bulluck, etc.).
Despite its inconsistency and recent decline, the program has continued to produce notable NFL players.
Moreover, the program will hopefully benefit from the recent increased interest in college football in the Northeast (due to Rutgers and UConn).
