I like Spags. He's a decent coach. He did a lot of good things while he was an assistant coach with the Eagles, which developed his reputation.

That being said, I'm unsure of his ability as an upper-tier DC. His time in NY was spotted.

In 2007, they were 17th in total defense and 16th in scoring. They went on a tremendous run in the playoffs and that banked him as a star candidate on the rise.

In 2008, they were 5th in total d and 5th in scoring. But their offense played poorly and kept them from doing anything in the playoffs.

He got hired by the Rams, where his defenses were terrible.

Obviously he has a tremendous reputation, but it will be interesting to see if he's able to field an improved product in New Orleans.

Great hire.

It figures that the coach who kept a priest on the sidelines would go to a team called the Saints.

People in NY wanted him back to replace Fewell. But... Giants keep winning and Fewell still here.

Great hire by the Saints

I'm excited. I hope the Saints beef up their LB's and DL... I'd love to see some effective blitzes and/or pressure from the front 7.
