It's long been my belief that the NFL is the only way Saban would even consider leaving bama. I've also felt he wouldn't go unless there was a franchise QB in place

If jerry weren't so notoriously controlling then dallas would feel like a slam dunk. Still, who knows if jerry may realize the problem (him) and clear house and hire Saban

Unlikely

Cleveland - Saban coached there and has a relationship with Mike Lombardi. High pick in a good QB draft and loads of talent in place. Interesting

Detroit - would feel just like Tuscaloosa. Loads of talent in place. If it weren't Detroit, it would feel like a no brainer

Washington - no fricking way. It's not Snyder, it's the griffin trade. They're screwed for a long time.

no way he goes to the Cowboys. He would not be ok with Jerry's meddling. The other jobs are really lateral at best for him over the bama job. I would see Texas before any of them.

Oh I don't give a shite if he leaves, but he has to be the best guy not in an NFL job already

I think he fits well in Cleveland and Detroit.

No way he goes to Clebeland or Detroit. Why? They're Cleveland and Detroit. Washington is out because of Snyder. I'm sure Spurrier could tell Lil Nicky a few stories about him. Cowboys are most likely, but not going to happen.

No, but you're not very smart if you think that he's going to the pros or would even consider it.

He's not a pro HC, this has been proven.

Can you imagine Saban blowing it at two of the most storied franchises in the league?

Would forever leave him tarnished as a coach.

Saban to Cowboys ain't gonna happen.

Jerry prevents a perfect match. Thank god.

I think Saban is a bona fide top coach in the NFL. He was in his two short years. He wasn't given what he was promised and he left for greener pastures. Saban in Cleveland is a great match, same with Detroit, but I don't see him bein tempted enough to leave

I think Cleveland is more appealing to him than people know. If he doesn't jump back into the NFL with these openings (Tampa bay as well as an interesting opening) he'll never jump...and I don't think he ever will, but there are some great openings this year.

He had a pretty good first year, had a bunch of injuries and no qb his second year. His issues in the pros are overstated.

That would have required him to read before he posted.

Look for Saban to take the Browns job within the next 6 weeks. If not, look for him to be the coach at Bama. At this point it is all settled. YWIA

He's had an NFL stint already, and we all know how that went. What makes you think he'd be an all world NFL coach now?

IMO Saban needs a stacked team, with through the roof talent to pull off the the success he's had. Now that's not to say he's not a really good college coach, but he will not have a stacked team in the NFL no matter where he were to go, and never will. That's just today's NFL. The Dolphins performance proved that.

9-7 his first year. Second year was just a shitty QB decision which many have speculated he was overruled on leading to his departure.

LSU fans I guess Pete Carroll still isn't NFL material
