This is all easily explained. I think Sexton actually calls all the D1 schools in alphabetical order to "express initial interest" and "inquire about a compensation package". It just so happens that he was on the W's. Wisconsin's probably getting a call right about now too.

I think if he wins a NC at Bama, he's gone. I don't think he'd leave until that happens if he's really the egotistical prick y'all make him out to be.

Yeah, because we all know he waited to win a Super Bowl before he decided leave Miami.

You must not know any Bama fans. 6-6 under Shula...let's fire him so we can get Saban.

6-6 under Saban, including a four-game losing streak. That's highly impressive.

Well...seeing how as I live in Alabama, I might know a few more Bama fans than you do.

I live in bama too. And the vast majority of fans are pissed about a 6th loss to AU and more pissed about a home loss to ULM. That Louisiana Monroe.

Cool! Great shot of the trio just before they put on the black face for the frat party.

For this, I feel very sorry for you.

What did Saban do this year that showed marked improvement over what Shula did last year? The only thing that anyone can discern is that he made bigger deposits into his bank account. If you are trying to convince anyone that Bama fans are happy with this, you are not going to succeed.

Top 5 recruiting is about the only positive thing about this year, along with an arse whipping on Tennessee.

I find it hilarious how Bama fans justify this 6-6 season as 'improvement' because the players didn't buy into Saban's system, 5 players were suspended because of textbooks, Shula did not instill toughness, etc..

Before the season started, Bammers were predicting 8-4 and 9-3 records. They were supposed to have a high scoring offense and JPW was going to be the best SEC QB.

Alabama did not improve one bit, and while not all of it is Saban's fault, a lot of it is his fault (something they refuse to see)

I will say this: If Bama started 2-6 and finished 6-6, this board would be infested with Bama fans proclaiming how great Saban is and how The Process is starting to take effect.

Wait, wait!

Our defense improved as the year went on, but the offense floundered. Defense is more of Saban's thing, but he should have tried a different QB once JPW started having lady problems.

I agree Chimlim -- I don't think the 6-6 is the worst part, per se. I think the fact that they started 6-2, whipped Tennessee and started 4-1 in the SEC only to lose 4 straight and end up in the Indy Bowl AGAIN. They have not beaten either LSU or Auburn since 2002, and throw in a loss to ULM and things aren't pretty over there. The team got worse as the season wore on, not better.

I heard he will coach both teams bc Big East teams play on Thursday night and that will leave Sat open for real football.

What happened? Did some of your dumb fans toss bricks through his home windows again? Bummers should really learn to treat their coaches better.

Don't feel sorry for me. I've lived in Europe, the Far East, and in the Southwest. None of those places can compare with Bama. I feel thankful everyday about how lucky I am to have such a beautiful place to live.

I guess you've never had the opportunity to take over a screwed up organization and have to fix it. The first thing you have to do is make the people change the way they think. Hell, I don't care if Bama goes 6-7 next year. I think they're headed in the right direction.

So unsuspending DJ hall for the 2nd half of the ULM game was changing what exactly?

The problem you fail to see is your team got worse as the season went along. They showed no improvement from their time with S the coach. They were better at the start of the year when Shula's impact could still be seen.

Things are just fine over here. OBTW, I just hear the first Finebaum caller ask about Saban to WVU. Finebaum said, "I think it's bogus." Caller said, "Me too," and then asked another question.

What a meltdown.
