Isn’t there a rule that allows the HC to have more contact with recruits, basically take the place of the staff member that is gone? If so, I can see where this may be the reason we haven’t seen a hire for DC yet. Maybe O is taking advantage of getting more in home visits in the absence of a DC.

there is no rule that a HC cant recruit players himself if he wants to, who the frick told you that?

now players prefer to talk to the coach who decides who plays or rides the bench but there are no restrictions on a HC doing it

I think there's a number of visits from a head coach that you can get whereas assistants can get A LOT more. I think this happened in a transition last year or the year before.

Yeah IIRC the HC gets extra in homes when down a coordinator

I remember similar, but can't think of the exact details.
