Nope-
Grabbing McNeil is shooting for .500. If Tulane shoots for .500 they end up at .333.

We had 15 years of Dickson shooting for .500

If Dickson shot for 1.000, he'd get .333.

The problem at Tulane was Dickson.

McNeil would be shooting for .700 and getting .550.

I'm pretty bummed about the news. Coach Ruff was a great ambassador for ECU and I'm going to miss him. I don't know what our AD is thinking but he's holding a press conference at 2 pm EST so I hope to find out more then.

How would he be shooting for .500?

You would really be upset w/a coach if he brought Tulane 4 bowls in 6 years w/a 10 win season tossed in the middle?

Honestly, the AACW should be easier for him to win in considering over half of it is private schools. After Houston and Memphis every other team will likely be a year to year crap shoot.

Yeah that's really strange. Wonder if something else was going on.

ECU is one of the more underrated programs & fan bases in the country. They pack that stadium out. Good place for a first time HC.

WTF he was 42-34 yeah he never won the conference but what does ECU expect?
I truly think those clowns feel that if they dominate the AAC that the SEC would come calling with an invite.

Great guy...his staff did more to develop 1 and 2 star players than any staff in NC. Great recruiter and a man that wanted, truly wanted, to be at ECU. He lost his starting QB the 1st week of summer camp and played the rest of the year with a 2 completely non-descript QB's running his offense. Lincoln Riley must be on the plane to Greenville NOW...

Have you noticed how all of the schools who jumped ship from Conference USA to the AAC have each fired their coach within the past year or so?

Greater revenues + greater expectations = Heightened pressure

What was acceptable in C-USA is suddenly inefficient and poor. Please note that half of the AAC wants into the Big XII really badly - so time is of the essence.
