Oh great. Would you like to join the ranks that thought they had the inside scoop. Please, name the guy that is going to be the OC. If there is only one, you should know it. Quite frankly, you're full of shite. The only person I think has any legit inside scoop has already said that there is more then one candidate for OC, so I think you're wrong.

Fuente wouldn't take a demotion to be our QB coach. I bet he would accept being Co-OC and more money though.

He's already a Co-OC at a highly ranked program which is about to be in a BCS conference... I don't know that LSU will be willing to pay him what he's making right now even (All of GaryP's assistants just got a raise along with him).

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they haven't offered him the right combination of autonomy and $$$. Gary Patterson's staff is WELL taken care of. Fuente's a relatively young guy... GaryP is letting him take a look at the "greener pastures" right now because TCU is at a crossroads.
I think Fuente's having to choose between staying in Ft. Worth and doing the work necessary to adapt his offensive philosophy to what TCU will be facing when they jump to the Big East (and remain a Co-OC)... or finding a spot where he can keep his O as is (and be the only one wearing the OC hat).
ETA:
It goes without saying there is a "money must justify the BS" element in play as well.

If Miles wants to keep Billy G, it will probably require a Co-OC situation unless BG is given the job outright. And keep in mind, Billy G is one of our best recruiters. He is also like 39, so he's ready to take the next step in his career I would think.
I don't see BG hanging around to work for the 34 yr old Fuente.
