Roadblocks

These are the POTENTIAL roadblocks I’ve heard thus far…
Riley - happy at OU
Jimbo - happy at aTm (this was the biggest smoke screen of all). Something major would have to change for Jimbo to be the head coach
Napier - simply a weak look to shop for a coach in state
Kiffin - SW is the main one against this. Not like he’s being pressured by any influencers
Tucker - never was an option. No plan to offer him unless several things fell thru
Aranda - lack of experience has a HC and not a splash
Mark Stoops - not a splash hire, several things would have to fall thru
Urban - last I heard, not even considered. My guy hasn’t heard a peep about him
Fickell - this one is strange. My guy hasn’t heard a no but hasn’t heard much interest
Rhule - wouldn’t be in place for this class.
Bill O’Brien - not a big enough splash.
Tomlin - his interest was simply to leverage for a raise
I’m paraphrasing but this is what I’ve heard on each guy for the past month or so. Also this could change at the drop of a hat. Some of the stuff listed could mirror what some of the National guys have said, if it does then what they said is accurate.

Tomlin never had interest nor did he get a raise.
Some of these read like bad fan fic. I hope our AD isn’t dumb enough to poopoo a coach because it looks “weak” since he coaches in state.
Anyway, looks like we aren’t gonna have a coach I guess.

If Matt Campbell is in it means he’s down with getting down in the mud to recruit in the SEC.
If I can be convinced of his willingness to recruit, he’d be up there with Riley and Aranda for me. He would be an absolute slam dunk, and is probably the best talent developer on the list across the board (though obviously not as good at Riley at something like QB)
