Rich Rod would cost us 4 games next year - We have to go Pro-Style

Belowpar was mentioning thta Rich Rod would be a dream hire in his opinion, and while that may be the case long-term, he would definitely cost this team quite a few games next year and a shot at the NC.
If we do not go with a pro-style coordinator for 2011, we will not win the West, SEC, or the NC - FACT!

The last thing Miles (or any other quality head coach) needs is an ego like Rodriguez', with stints as HC at 2 big time programs, causing dissension on his staff. No way. Never. Fuggeddaboudit!.

I hope you are right.
I can't imagine Rich Rod going without a job very long because his offense cannot be questioned, but not sure if we need/want him here. Maybe if we were rebuilding, but not with the squad we will have in 2011.

Not that I'm advocating Rich Rod or saying it will happen... but the current Rich Rod offense wasn't always the Rich Rod offense.
He's run spread passing attacks with guys like Shaun King.

Again, with a stable of stud RBs, a spread-option is the last offense we need.

Why? Our qbs after Jefferson are all Pro style guys? Why would we bring him in if he doesnt fit the recruits we already have? Clearly Miles wants to go in a certain direction and I dont think RR's style is it.

Our QBs INCLUDING Jefferson are pro-style guys. I assume because Jefferson is athletic and black that it is assumed that he is a spread QB, but he certainly is not.
Jefferson is a pro-style QB who can throw on the run. He is no more athletic than Andrew Luck with about half the throwing skills.

2010 SEC West Standings:
Auburn - Spread Option/Multiple
ArKansas - Balanced Passing
LSU - Whatever we were (Option/Spread/Power running)
bama - Pro Style
MSU - Spread Option
Ole Miss - QB sneak
I remember RR offense at Tulane being pretty balanced. S. King had a hell of a year, but so did their running back. Wasn't his name Converse or something?

Excuse me, I never said he was a spread qb. Just that he is closer to that than the other qbs we have
