Not my first choice but some of you are acting a little ridiculous.

because if we had enough confidence to promote him, we would have by now.

This. Nobody outside of the powers that be know anything.

While this is true one can make reasonable assumptions based on some of the things that have been published. Is this all the data? Nope. However, it is reasonable to look at this situation and realize that Les may be thinking retirement.

If we would've promoted him right away, everyone would've been pissed that we didn't look at anyone else.

If there weren't questions around him, there wouldn't be much outrage.

The DL has been pretty meh. He's one hell of a recruiter...if you count 2nd place. He has sucked in the past as a DC.

Not to say that he will 100% suck, but there are reasons people would have been/will be upset if he is the guy.

I mean, obviously not our first choice, but he's been here since day one with Cheif, he knows the ropes, and maybe has his own twist on things. Maybe?

Chavis was bad for LSU.

Don't recall this being said. The consensus is pretty much "he's good but we could possibly do better."

3rd and Chavis.

Is a thing and has dick to do with this search.

Any good DC could be great with it. Point still stands.

LSU's good D was a product of the talent assembled by the recruiters under Miles, which Chavis was not

Talent had quite a bit to do with it but that doesn't make him a better recruiter.

Chavis wasn't worth the $1.6m+ he wanted.

Dafuq? Nothing I've seen says it was about the money. It was about the guarantee.

Not confidence inspiring. Maybe Miles' wife could do well since she has been around the coaches for 10 years.

There's been nothing reported for a certainty that ANYONE has actually been offered the job yet. Thus, why do you people think we keep getting turned down

When Les interviews a DC candidate and minutes later he takes his name out of consideration or tweets that he's glad to be staying where he is. Just what the frick do you think is happening?

It's like you people are blind. The fact that some of you can't see that promoting brick is settling and practically a disaster is unbelievable. Do you really not care that much?

Hell why not hire a DC from some local high school? I'm. Convinced some of you would get on here and tell people to settle down and give the high school guy a chance

I honestly don't think O would be that bad. He would bring back the pissed off and playing with a chip on your shoulder attitude we had from 2011. That kind of defense can succeed.

Cause he has no fricking experience as a DC, sucked arse as DL coach, and he sucks at recruiting. He deserves to get fired more than anyone else on our staff

1. Perhaps Miles didn't like what he heard in the interview. Or the guy interviewing never wanted to come in the first place.

2. None of you know how Brick would do with our talent.

3. Of course I care what happens. Just not reacting all emotionally after every rumor is thrown out. I'm waiting to see what happens.

If I were Haley, I would wait until it is offered, then turn it down and jump ship to join Chief at aTm. Screw being a last option and having a fan base hate you for it.
